Description
The City of Isle of Palms is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional municipal code recodification services. The selected firm will be responsible for all labor, materials, technical expertise, editing, legal formatting, indexing, and related professional services necessary to produce a recodified municipal code. The existing Code of Ordinances will be reviewed, with obsolete, repealed, superseded, duplicative, or conflicting provisions identified and eliminated. The project aims to improve organization, usability, consistency, legal clarity, public accessibility, and administrative efficiency. Services include legal editing, code organization, indexing, and ensuring electronic publishing compatibility with the City's current code-hosting platform. The contractor will also be required to attend City committee meetings and provide ongoing supplementation services.
