Description
Stamford Downtown Special Services District is seeking an experienced independent contractor to coordinate its year-round public realm landscape beautification program. The scope includes designing and maintaining more than 300 hanging flower baskets, more than 80 ground planters, and 16 landscaped areas across nine downtown open spaces, including gardens, bioswales, and pollinator areas. The contractor will also support green infrastructure and urban forestry initiatives. Responsibilities include procurement, logistics, scheduling, contractor and vendor coordination, volunteer and seasonal staff oversight, daily streetscape maintenance supervision, site inspections, budget and schedule tracking, quality control, stakeholder coordination with the City of Stamford Parks Department, and participation in seasonal field operations. The anticipated engagement is approximately 600 hours annually over 36 weeks, or roughly 16–20 hours per week. Proposals must include qualifications, a proposed hourly rate, examples of three related projects, and at least three professional references.
