Description
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is seeking a sole-source contractor to service and calibrate the science bays and sensors on EPA-owned Teledyne Slocum Gliders 338 and 874. The work includes servicing the sensors, performing helium tests on sensor seals, completing calibration and service documentation, testing the units for proper operation, and returning the fully serviced or repaired science bays and sensors to the EPA. The Statement of Work identifies Seabird CTD, Wetlabs Puck, and LISST sensors and requires calibration coefficient sheets and detailed service records describing work performed, problems identified, and corrective actions. The work must be performed at the Teledyne facility and/or an affiliated CTD manufacturer. Acceptance requires that the units have no water leaks at their design depth rating. The solicitation is a brand-name sole-source requirement based on Teledyne's proprietary manufacturing, flight-control technology, assembly, and service capabilities. Quotes must be submitted electronically through FedConnect by October 19, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time; questions are due to the contracting officer by October 16, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
