Description
The Town seeks a qualified certified public accounting firm to audit its financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026, with options to continue for the following two fiscal years. The work includes financial statement and fund-level audits, a compliance audit, and a Single Audit under applicable federal requirements. The auditor must assess internal controls, report findings and noncompliance, and provide a separate management letter for non-reportable conditions. Fieldwork is to be completed in one contiguous block, with Town records remaining on the premises. The firm must provide an electronic audit report and five printed, bound copies, as well as any additional copies required by federal or state agencies. The final FY26 report is due January 15, 2027; subsequent-year reports are due December 15. The proposal must include a technical proposal covering firm and staff qualifications, five similar government engagements from the past five years, audit approach and work plan, and familiarity with specified municipal software and control-review programs. A separate cost proposal must provide annual maximum prices and cost breakdowns. The selected firm must deliver an engagement letter within ten working days of the Town's acceptance of its proposal.
