Description
The U.S. Army seeks varying quantities of safety boots and muck boots for its Directorate of Public Works workforce under a five-year IDIQ contract structure: a one-year base period and four one-year option periods. Boots must meet the specified ASTM protective-footwear standards and requirements for waterproofing, slip resistance, electrical-hazard protection, toe protection, and other boot-specific characteristics. The solicitation includes estimated quantities of 125 pairs of safety boots and 35 pairs of muck boots per period; actual orders will depend on employee requests. The contractor must operate a permanent brick-and-mortar retail storefront within 75 miles of Fort Riley, open Monday through Friday, and staffed by qualified fitting specialists. Employees must be measured and fitted in-store; mobile units, pop-up stations, boot trucks, and trailers are prohibited. The proposal must include technical capability, past-performance, and price volumes, including manufacturer product data, evidence of fitting and sizing capabilities, warranty documentation, and a completed bid schedule. The contractor must also provide a fit-related exchange guarantee and warranty support for defective footwear.
