Description
The City seeks a contractor to operate the Virginia Beach Convention Center’s food and beverage program. Services include catering for meetings, banquets, receptions, and special functions; fixed and mobile concessions; vending; pantry and food-production operations; and alcoholic beverage sales where permitted. The contractor will also provide staffing, food and beverage purchasing, menu planning, event service, sanitation, pest control, waste diversion, food donation, and ongoing maintenance of food-service areas and equipment. The scope includes sustainability requirements, local and certified sustainable sourcing preferences, and operation of the existing point-of-sale system. The initial agreement term is expected to be five years, with two one-year renewal options. Proposals must include the requested commission schedule and a minimum annual guarantee of at least $750,000, along with staffing and wage information, purchasing specifications, and an equipment and smallwares proposal. The solicitation also requires completed proposal schedules and specified forms, including the anticollusion/nondiscrimination/drug-free workplace form, exceptions form if taking exceptions, Virginia SCC and SWaM certification form, and acknowledgments of both addenda.
