Description
The City of Georgetown is soliciting proposals from qualified individuals or firms to assist in the preparation of an updated Hazard Mitigation Plan (HMP). This plan must comply with the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000, 44 CFR Part 201.6, and current FEMA planning guidance. The selected proposer will be responsible for facilitating the planning process, identifying data requirements, conducting research, developing and facilitating public input, documenting the process, producing draft and final plan documents, and facilitating plan adoption. The scope of work includes four primary stages: Organizing Resources, Assessing Risks, Developing a Mitigation Strategy, and Plan Adoption, Monitoring & Evaluation. The updated plan will address natural, technological, and human-caused hazards, including the effects of climate change, and will be aligned with the current Texas State Hazard Mitigation Plan. All public engagement activities will be conducted in English and Spanish. The final plan is due 150 days after contract acceptance.
