Description
Polk County is seeking a contractor to provide a complete turnkey replacement of two existing passenger elevators at occupied county facilities. The work includes removal and legal disposal of existing hydraulic elevator equipment, furnishing and installing two new hydraulic passenger elevators, and providing all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, permits, inspections, testing, and incidental work. The new elevators must include complete hydraulic systems, cars and platforms, controllers, doors, hall stations, entrances, emergency and firefighter operation, safety devices, wiring, pit equipment, and related electrical and fire-alarm interfaces. The contractor must field-verify existing conditions, coordinate with occupants and authorities, protect occupied buildings, restore disturbed finishes, complete required inspections and certifications, and provide closeout documentation, manuals, warranties, diagrams, training, and operational keys and tools. Elevator 1 is expected to have at least 2,000 pounds of capacity where feasible; Elevator 2 requires 2,000 pounds of capacity.
