Description
The project involves rehabilitating a prestressed concrete potable-water ground storage reservoir. Work includes repairing concrete and prestressing wires, injecting grout into cracks, installing a new NSF-61-compliant interior liner, and repairing and coating the exterior. The contractor must also modify the overflow piping, install access and fall-protection upgrades, restore the reservoir to service, and disinfect it. Construction includes erosion control, grading and restoration, and related underground piping work. The solicitation requires an experienced AWWA D110 tank rehabilitation contractor with qualified engineering and field personnel. A 5% bid surety is required with the bid. Performance and payment bonds and proof of insurance are required from the awarded contractor before work begins or contract execution, as applicable; they are not bid-time submission items.
