The Airport Authority of Airport District No. One of Calcasieu Parish is requesting Statements of Qualifications from consulting firms to assess the feasibility and conceptual development of a microgrid system at Lake Charles Regional Airport. The work includes evaluating site-specific distributed energy resources and system configurations intended to support uninterrupted critical airport operations during disaster preparation, response, and recovery events. The selected consultant will provide planning, feasibility analysis, conceptual design, and implementation strategy development, while complying with applicable Federal Aviation Administration, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Federal Emergency Management Agency, and State of Louisiana requirements. The notice states that the Request for Statements of Qualifications must be obtained by emailing the executive director and referencing RFQ MICROGRID-2026; submissions are due by 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on November 2, 2026, by courier, hand delivery, or mail.
