Description
The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission's Winter Recreation Program is soliciting proposals for grooming approximately 28 miles of designated cross-country ski trails in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest's Methow Ranger District. Services include creating set tracks and skate lanes, smoothing and compacting trails, clearing downed trees and snowdrifts, maintaining trail safety, installing and maintaining signage, and providing required reporting and GPS progress tracking. The contract covers five winter seasons beginning December 1, 2026, and ending April 30, 2031, with work typically performed from December 1 through March 31. Contractors must provide suitable snow-grooming equipment, operators, backup plans, equipment ownership or control documentation, hourly equipment pricing, operational and capacity plans, at least three recent letters of reference, and other required certifications and forms. Subcontracting is not authorized without written approval, and the bid must be capable of being performed without subcontractors.
