Description
PSEG Long Island, LLC, on behalf of the Long Island Power Authority, is issuing a Request for Proposals for up to 400 MW of temporary generation from multiple projects to maintain reliability for Long Island customers. Proposed facilities must be located within LIPA’s service territory and connected to LIPA’s transmission or distribution system. The target schedule includes a webinar on August 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Prevailing Time; site visits on August 20 and August 27, 2026; notification of intent to bid by October 16, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Prevailing Time; proposal submission by October 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Prevailing Time; proposal selections on January 22, 2027; completion of power purchase agreement negotiations in April 2027; board approval in May 2027; firm pricing through September 2027; state approvals in September 2027; and service commencement dates from May 1, 2028, through May 1, 2030.
