Description
The City of Bend is soliciting sealed bids for the furnishing, installation, and commissioning of a sixth 400-horsepower dual-core APG-Neuros turbo blower in Blower Building 32B at the Bend Water Reclamation Facility. The facility's five existing blowers are periodically required to operate simultaneously, and increasing influent loadings are driving the need for additional aeration capacity and operational redundancy. The City Council approved an exemption permitting the required APG-Neuros brand. The project includes procurement and installation of the blower and accessories, relocation of existing equipment, construction of a reinforced concrete equipment pad, process piping, supports, valves, insulation, selective demolition, electrical distribution equipment, conduit, wiring, grounding, controls wiring, communications infrastructure, electrical studies, testing, performance verification, startup, commissioning, manufacturer-authorized technical services, and personnel training. PLC integration and SCADA modifications will be performed by others. The engineer's estimate is $914,000 to $1,059,000, and substantial completion is required by December 1, 2027.
