Description
Ventura Unified School District is requesting proposals for leased lit-fiber wide area network connections between its collector/data center and 31 listed school, administrative, transportation, and education sites. The requested service includes point-to-point connectivity, minimum speeds ranging from 1 Gbps to 10 Gbps with growth pricing up to 100 Gbps, customer-premises equipment, single-mode fiber handoffs, installation, programming, monitoring, maintenance, and switching from the existing provider. Proposals must separately identify eligible and ineligible E-Rate costs, recurring charges, taxes, non-recurring costs, special construction, network electronics, and growth pricing. The response must include a proposal narrative, completed price evaluation and detailed cost breakdown forms, a completed qualifications form, a signed and dated multi-year service agreement and service-level agreement, references, an implementation plan, and an executed general acknowledgment. The narrative is limited to 10 pages. The contract is requested as a three-year initial term with two optional one-year extensions, beginning July 1, 2027, with an alternate one-year initial term and four optional one-year extensions also requested. Special-construction proposals must include a cost breakdown, route map in KMZ or KML format, and explanations of alternative routes and unusual construction conditions.
