Description
The New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, is soliciting proposals for continued Designated Screening Services, including psychiatric emergency services, in Burlington, Cumberland, Hunterdon, Mercer, Morris, and Sussex Counties. The anticipated scope includes 24-hour crisis assessment, intervention, referral, mobile outreach, hotline coverage, involuntary-commitment screening, extended crisis evaluation beds, medication monitoring, transportation coordination, follow-up, family and peer support, community training, and coordination with hospitals, law enforcement, short-term care facilities, and other behavioral-health providers. The solicitation anticipates one award for each county-based service area, for six total awards. Annualized funding is explicitly stated by county, totaling $10,083,749, subject to appropriations. Proposals must include a narrative, county-specific service approach, staffing and 24/7 coverage plan, evaluation and quality-improvement information, facilities and logistics information, an Excel budget, required certifications and disclosures, financial statements, and appendices. The initial contract term is anticipated to run from May 1, 2027, through June 30, 2027, with up to seven additional one-year renewals at the agency’s discretion.
