Description
The Defense Logistics Agency is soliciting a critical application item for use in a shipboard aircraft launch and recovery system. The component must be manufactured, tested, inspected, marked, packaged, and delivered in accordance with the specified engineering drawings and referenced military and industry standards. The contractor is responsible for all manufacturing aids, traceability markings, quality-control inspections, and required material, dimensional, environmental, plating, hardness, and nondestructive-testing documentation. The requirement includes engineering source approval for flight-critical components, with approval required before award unless the offeror qualifies for a waiver. A first article consisting of one uncoated unit is required, along with government-witnessed testing, a First Article Test Report, inspection and certification records, and notification before testing and final inspection. The solicitation states that quotes or proposals must be emailed to the contracting officer and that drawings are not available.
