Fairfax County is inviting contractors to apply for pre-qualification for the Dead Run at Georgetown Pike project. The work includes restoration of 5,916 linear feet of stream using natural channel design and riparian corridor enhancements to improve water quality, removal of invasive plants, and installation of native trees, shrubs, and herbaceous vegetation. The project also requires a sanitary sewer force-main bypass pumping system capable of handling flows up to 2,600 gallons per minute. The selected contractor must provide continuous 24-hour operation and maintenance while the bypass system is in service, along with pre- and post-construction CCTV inspections of the sanitary sewer force main.
