Description
The University of Alabama is soliciting prequalification applications from general contractors and prime mechanical contractors for thermal piping repairs at the SEC Building. Contractors already listed on the University's Prequalification Master List are exempt; other eligible contractors must submit a prequalification packet or request a waiver before bidding or performing the work. Prequalification submissions and waiver requests must be submitted through the University's prequalification platform by the stated deadline. Preliminary and final plans, specifications, and contract documents are available for examination at the University's Office of Construction Administration and other designated plan rooms. Copies may be obtained from HHB Engineers, P.C., for a refundable $100-per-set deposit. Bidders must meet Alabama licensing requirements and provide their current license number on the outside of the sealed bid envelope.
