Description
The State of Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management seeks a turnkey modernization of the existing automated storage and retrieval system serving the Division of Archives and Records Service. The work includes a new warehouse control system and database; modernization of PLCs, operator interfaces, control panels, communications, and related controls; and integration with the existing cranes, storage racks, bins, and records-management system. Existing mechanical storage equipment is generally to remain in service. The contractor is responsible for design, equipment and software, programming, integration, installation, testing, commissioning, training, documentation, and warranty support. The bid must include a combined fixed price for the controls and warehouse control system work, separately priced options for remote crane operation and workstation hardware, and a preliminary activity schedule. A mandatory bidder prequalification questionnaire is required, including evidence of at least five relevant projects completed within the past ten years. A 5% bid bond must accompany the bid. The construction cost estimate is $1,500,000; the solicitation also sets a substantial completion date of April 30, 2027.
