Description
The U.S. Army is seeking innovative solutions to replace seven existing low-level cranes at Anniston Army Depot. The anticipated scope includes designing, fabricating or manufacturing, delivering, installing, integrating, testing, and functionally demonstrating the replacement crane systems, along with all required personnel, materials, equipment, supervision, and resources. The equipment requirements include CMAA Class D top-running bridge cranes operating on existing support structures, with 20-ton and 10-ton main hoists and seven paired 5-ton auxiliary hoists. Six cranes will be remotely controlled, while one 20-ton crane will use a retrofitted existing cab. The contractor must conduct no-load and full-load testing, provide operator and maintenance training, and account for compatibility with existing facility conditions while minimizing disruption to depot operations. Responses will be evaluated on technical and innovative merit, delivery and lifecycle sustainment, and price and funding availability.
