Description
The Town of Richmond is soliciting bids for comprehensive service and maintenance of its town-owned emergency generators. This contract will include scheduled inspections, oil and filter changes, fuel system servicing, battery testing, load testing, and inspection of electrical components. Additionally, the selected contractor must provide 24/7 emergency response for generator failures with a two-hour response time for on-site diagnostics and repair. The contractor will be responsible for providing written service reports, maintaining maintenance logs, and recommending necessary repairs or upgrades. Parts will be provided at market cost, and all major repairs require prior Town approval. The initial contract term will be for one year, with the option to renew annually for up to three additional years, contingent upon satisfactory performance and funding availability. Respondents must be licensed and insured in Rhode Island, possess documented experience servicing commercial standby generators, and demonstrate 24/7 emergency service capability. Authorization from applicable generator manufacturers is preferred. The Town requires references from at least three municipal or commercial clients.
