Description
Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) is seeking proposals for liquid propane and propane tank services. The contract includes the provision of all labor, tools, materials, insurance, and incidentals to install and service liquid propane tanks owned by the vendor, located at various facilities on the SFA campus. These facilities include multiple poultry houses, an incinerator, a processing building, a selection and evaluation building, a beef farm manager's house, and a swine facility. The estimated annual propane purchase for this contract is 70,000 gallons, which is a non-binding approximation. The contract will begin upon award with an ending date of August 31, 2026, and may be extended for twelve additional quarterly periods, subject to mutual agreement and quarterly pricing negotiations. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing services in accordance with all local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring tanks are not allowed to go below 50% capacity and never go empty. The bidder must also perform safety inspections and necessary repairs on equipment, and provide a 24/7 emergency service number. Deliveries must be metered individually, and invoicing will be submitted monthly. The successful bidder must also certify that the propane supplied is clean and free of contaminants.
