Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting 52 B-2 hatch severance assemblies consisting of four types of flexible linear shaped charges: left- and right-hand horseshoe charges and left- and right-hand racetrack charges. Each type has a quantity of 13, is 60 inches long and 36 inches in diameter, and is identified by NSNs 1377-01-318-5643ES, 1377-01-318-5644ES, 1377-01-318-5645ES, and 1377-01-318-5646ES. The items are explosive articles classified as 1.4, compatibility group D, with UN number 0237 and applicable DODICs SR83, SR81, SR80, and SR79. The solicitation requires qualified sources, including completion of pre-award qualification requirements for previously unqualified offerors. Requirements include manufacturing, inspection, testing, packaging, hazardous-material shipping, serial-number and UID marking, ammunition data cards, quality documentation, and lot acceptance testing. The solicitation identifies Ensign Bickford as an approved source and limits consideration under the qualification documentation to suppliers in the United States and Canada. Delivery is required on or before December 31, 2028.
