Weber State University is soliciting qualifications from licensed electrical contractors to perform varied interior and exterior electrical work on university-owned properties. Projects may arise from university departments or the Operations Electrical Shop, may lack architect or engineer drawings and specifications, and will generally be described narratively. Pre-qualified contractors may be invited to job walks and asked to provide quotes for projects up to $50,000. Responses must include a letter of transmittal and a statement of qualifications addressing the firm's organization, construction management approach, relevant electrical contracts, qualifications and experience, firm capabilities, past performance, and references. The letter is limited to two pages and the statement of qualifications is limited to 20 pages, both typed in 12-point font. Firms must be Utah-licensed electrical contractors, maintain liability, automobile, and workers' compensation insurance while on the list, provide a journeyman electrician for on-campus crews, comply with university campus rules, and ensure crew and work-area safety. Firms scoring 80 or higher will be placed on the pre-qualified list for projects up to $50,000; the list runs from November 1, 2026, through April 30, 2028.
