Description
The University of Kansas Medical Center is soliciting a contractor for comprehensive refuse collection services covering municipal solid waste, cardboard hauling to a designated processor, single-stream mixed recycling collection and processing, and asbestos material collection and lawful disposal. The scope includes collection and disposal, leasing and maintenance of dumpsters and other containers, temporary units for projects and construction debris, construction-related container moves, optional maintenance and repair of KUMC-owned equipment, and labor, parts, and markup rates for service work. The current inventory includes 22 service points and 26 containers across the Main Campus, Clinical Research Center, and Fairway North Office Building. Contractors must provide 24/7 service and emergency contact information, meet specified collection and repair response times, maintain clean and functional service areas and containers, submit service records and monthly reports, and comply with collection-time restrictions. Proposals must include the signed solicitation guidelines page, qualifications, three comparable-service references from the last three years, a certificate of insurance, an affidavit of workers’ compensation coverage, and the completed cost worksheet in Excel format.
