Description
Howard Community College seeks a Tellabs-certified or Tellabs-experienced integrator to replace its existing Motorola Passive Optical Network (PON) equipment with Tellabs equipment identified in the College-provided bill of materials. The work includes assessment and design validation, installation of Tellabs optical line terminals and optical network terminals, replacement of 1x32 splitters with 2x32 splitters to support redundant OLT architecture, fiber termination and patching, equipment removal, configuration, testing, documentation, project management, training, and phased migration of voice, data, multicast, and related network services. The contractor must configure and validate IEEE 802.1X network access control and integrate the Tellabs environment with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Microsoft Intune, RADIUS, dynamic VLAN assignment, and approved exception methods for non-802.1X devices. The proposal must address service continuity, outage minimization, recovery and rollback procedures, security hardening, support and software maintenance, and as-built documentation. A mandatory in-person pre-proposal conference and site walk is required, and the proposal must include separate technical and price submissions, an exception report, references, required forms, and three password-protected PDF files submitted through Bid Locker.
