Description
Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City Independent School District seeks proposals from insurers licensed in Texas to provide specific and aggregate stop loss reinsurance for its self-funded employee medical plan. Proposals must address individual stop loss deductible options of $200,000, $250,000, and $300,000; a 120% aggregate corridor; medical and prescription drug coverage; and aggregate annual payment options of $1 million or unlimited. Coverage is to begin January 1, 2027, with a one-year initial term and one optional one-year renewal. The district also requires twelve months of run-out coverage and asks vendors to address plan mirroring, advance funding, renewal terms, and other specified policy provisions. The response package requires the district’s provided forms, a completed 2024-version W-9, the Vendor Workbook Response, a firm overview, key-personnel licenses and certifications, three references, and an executive summary and standard proposal. The workbook includes pricing options, a stop loss request for information, and a medical administration questionnaire. Additional references are optional.
