Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting a horizontal side-eject baler, such as the EXCEL Manufacturing EX63 or equal, and a motorized slider-bed infeed conveyor, such as the EXCEL Model 4815 or equal. The equipment must meet detailed physical, hydraulic, electrical, safety, capacity, and performance requirements, including a 48-inch conveyor belt, variable-speed operation, emergency-stop features, and a baler capable of producing bales weighing approximately 1,200 to 2,000 pounds. The contractor must deliver the equipment, remove the existing baler and conveyor, unload and install the replacement system, connect the baler to the electrical disconnect using qualified installers, perform turnkey setup and testing, run at least two bales through the machine, and train at least two facility staff members. The offer must include technical descriptions and product literature, an installation approach, warranty terms, pricing for all five CLINs, required representations and certifications, and acknowledgment of any solicitation amendments. Minimum warranty coverage is one year for labor, two years for parts, and three years for structural and hydraulic components, including cylinders.
