Description
The City of Binghamton is soliciting bids for the rental of 20-ton dump trucks with drivers. The successful bidder will be responsible for providing these trucks and drivers to haul millings and potentially blacktop during the city's paving season. Addendum No. 1 has been issued, updating specifications regarding prevailing wage rates. Specifically, hauling of blacktop millings is now covered by Prevailing Wage Rate, and certified payroll must be supplied to the City for all such work. Bidders are required to acknowledge this addendum by including a signed copy with their proposal. The contract period is for the current year from the date of award, with the possibility of three one-year renewals. Overtime is defined as Monday through Friday exceeding 8 hours per day, and any time on Saturday. Milling hauling is not covered by prevailing wage rates. The City reserves the right to add or reduce trucking needs as necessary. Bidders must be able to supply a minimum of three trucks when scheduled, and will be contacted at least three days in advance of when trucking is needed.
