Description
The project repairs water damage to the Lighthouse Keeper’s Residence east exterior wall. Work includes removing trim, siding, windows, sheathing, and interior finishes; repairing or rebuilding structural framing and sheathing; replacing four windows and cavity insulation; and restoring interior finishes, trim, exterior siding, and trim. Temporary removal and reinstallation of electrical and plumbing components may also be needed. An alternate covers similar repairs to an additional area of the east façade. The work is subject to historic-treatment requirements. Bids must use the provided Contractor Bid Form and be emailed with bid security when required. A 5% bid bond or certified/cashier’s check is required if the bid documents require it or the base bid exceeds $125,000. Performance and payment bonds are required as specified in the bid documents or when the awarded contract exceeds $125,000. The selected contractor must provide proof of insurance before contract execution; these post-award items are not submission-time requirements.
