Description
The Incorporated Village of Hempstead is soliciting sealed bids for Contract No. 1, Water Mains, at Evergreen Charter School. The work includes approximately 5 linear feet of 6-inch cement-lined ductile iron water main, 24 linear feet of 8-inch water main, and 660 linear feet of 12-inch water main, along with ductile iron mechanical-joint fittings, gate valves, hydrant modification, chlorination, water-main cut-in and wet-cut connections, trench compaction, mobilization, and related appurtenances. The scope also includes concrete sidewalk restoration, full-depth Town and Village pavement replacement, Nassau County pavement work, topsoil and seeding, and required bonds and insurance. Bidders must submit the prescribed proposal forms, a certified check or bid bond of at least 5% of the base bid, and a separate sealed subcontractor list for specified trades when applicable. The selected contractor must complete the work within 120 consecutive calendar days after the engineer or Village issues the notice to proceed.
