Description
The City of Minneapolis, through its Community Planning and Economic Development Department, is seeking a qualified organization to provide legal representation, advice, advocacy, and related services to approximately 120 low- and moderate-income tenants or households annually. Services will address unsafe or unhealthy housing conditions, housing-code violations, repairs, habitability issues, tenant remedies actions, rent escrow actions, and other housing-related legal matters. The selected consultant will also collaborate with the City and community organizations to identify and address systemic housing issues. The proposal must describe the organization's experience, staffing, service-delivery model, outreach and engagement plan, accessibility and language-access capabilities, partnerships, performance measures, and implementation approach. The consultant will submit quarterly performance reports covering clients served, legal matters, filings, outcomes, repairs or violations addressed, demographics, outreach, and systemic issues. Attorneys providing services must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in Minnesota.
