Description
This Sources Sought notice requests concise industry responses from firms capable of performing maintenance dredging, hydraulic transport and placement of dredged material, and debris removal at the Craney Island Rehandling Basin. Work includes dredging the North Access Channel and South Access Channel to -18 feet MLLW, the Debris Channel to -9 feet MLLW, and the Rehandling Basin to -20 feet MLLW, with optional increased dredging in the Rehandling Basin to -23 feet MLLW. The base requirement is approximately 260,000 cubic yards of dredged material. Contractors must manage debris such as wire, rope, steel, and wood; hydraulically transport the material by pipeline; and place it at a government-furnished upland site. Respondents must describe comparable dredging experience, available dredge plant and supporting equipment, upland placement-site management experience, proposed prime/joint-venture/subcontractor structure, bonding capacity, and business-size and socioeconomic categories. This notice is for market research and does not constitute a commitment to issue a solicitation or award a contract.
