Description
Lee County requests proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide engineering services for an infrastructure project that may receive funding from the Appalachian Regional Commission, HUD Community Development Block Grant, the U.S. Economic Development Administration, or other federal or state funding agencies. The initial scope includes preparing a preliminary cost estimate and preliminary engineering report. If the project receives grant funding, the selected contractor will prepare plans and specifications, distribute bid documents, assist with bid opening and bid tabulation, assist with construction contract execution, hold a preconstruction conference, and perform construction inspection and periodic reporting through project closeout. The proposal must address the assigned personnel's qualifications, the firm's relevant experience and prior grant-funded projects, and its capacity to perform. The contract will be fixed price and subject to grant award and removal of environmental conditions.
