Description
The Lee County Board of Supervisors is soliciting bids for Phase II of the Lee County Adult Detention Center. The project includes multiple building packages covering detention and security equipment, roofing, plumbing, concrete, precast concrete, masonry, structural steel and miscellaneous metals, general works, laundry and food service equipment, fire suppression, HVAC, and electrical work. Bids must include proposal security in the form of a certified check or acceptable bid bond equal to at least 5% of the base bid. A 100% performance-payment bond is required within 10 days after award. Prime contractors and subcontractors submitting bids exceeding $50,000 must provide a current Mississippi Certificate of Responsibility number, or the required statement for bids not exceeding $50,000. Electronic bids may be submitted through the designated plan and bidding website, although electronic submission is not required.
