Description
Dubuque County is soliciting sealed bids for the New Wine Park CMP Culvert Replacement Project. The work includes clearing and grubbing; subgrade stabilization; modified subbase; hot-mix asphalt base and surface courses; asphalt binder; flooded backfill; roadway pipe-culvert excavation; structural concrete; reinforcing steel; installation of 70 linear feet of a 60-inch-diameter corrugated metal pipe roadway culvert; revetment; pavement removal; safety closures; traffic control; mobilization; and perimeter slope and sediment control. Winter work is not allowed. Work may not begin before November 1, 2026; if work begins before winter shutdown, the road must be opened during the winter. The contractor may finish-grade the road with road stone to open it before winter shutdown and complete hot-mix asphalt work in the spring. The proposal requires a proposal guaranty, and the successful bidder must furnish a performance bond equal to the contract award and a certificate of insurance within 15 days after award approval. The contract includes a $600-per-day liquidated-damages rate and requires completion by April 5, 2027.
