Description
The University of Kentucky is soliciting sealed lump-sum bids from prime contractors for the M.I. King Library Asset Preservation project. Available packages include demolition and abatement, general trades, mechanical and plumbing, electrical, and elevator work. Contractors must furnish the labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and services required by the drawings and specifications. Bids must be submitted on the University's official Form of Proposal and include a bid guarantee of at least 5% of the base bid. The successful bidder must furnish 100% performance and payment bonds. The project schedule requires substantial completion within 236 consecutive calendar days from commencement and final completion within an additional 30 consecutive calendar days. The revised bid opening deadline is October 8, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern time.
