Description
The University of California, Los Angeles, through Suffolk Construction Company, Inc., is soliciting a lump-sum subcontractor for Bid Package 01 covering demolition and lead abatement at the Acosta Operations Center. The scope includes demolition and off-haul of hazardous and non-hazardous materials, selective demolition, salvage of components for later reinstallation, coordination with other trade partners, daily work-area cleaning, and compliance with University and California Department of Public Health standards. The subcontractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment, including temporary containment, negative-air machines with HEPA filtration, pressure monitoring, and dust- and contaminant-migration controls for work in an occupied building. The estimated construction cost is $122,011.00. The successful bidder must hold active California C-21 and C-22 contractor licenses, comply with prevailing-wage and environmental, health, and safety requirements, and perform work within restricted hours as necessary to maintain facility operations.
