Description
The University of Kentucky, through Walsh Turner JV III, is soliciting a competitive-negotiation subcontractor for Package 014.05, ESI-6 Pneumatic Trash & Linen, for the Expand Patient Care Facility. The selected subcontractor will provide preconstruction assistance, estimating, BIM and constructability support, value management, scheduling, procurement planning, construction, installation, testing, commissioning, close-out documentation, operations and maintenance manuals, record documents, and owner training for the pneumatic trash and linen system. The proposal must address staffing and qualifications, subcontractors and suppliers, detailed cost estimates, labor rates, preconstruction pricing, construction-phase fee percentage, and the required bid forms and written responses. The anticipated arrangement includes phased preconstruction services followed by potential construction under a cost-of-work-plus-fee arrangement with a guaranteed maximum price, subject to owner authorization. Proposals must be submitted as one consolidated PDF through SmartBid; hard copies are not required.
