The Defense Commissary Agency is conducting market research on commercial sources capable of providing laundry and textile processing services for Government-owned linens used at commissary facilities. The contemplated services include pickup, laundering, sanitizing, drying, quality inspection, packaging, transport, inventory tracking, and redelivery of butcher coats, shirts, pants, aprons, smocks, floor mats, dust mops, and wet mops. Respondents are asked to describe their turnaround times, pickup frequency and regional coverage; inventory and chain-of-custody controls; wash formulas, sanitization, and thermal processes; food-safety compliance; packaging and cross-contamination controls; handling of damaged or end-of-life items; equipment for heavy rubber mats and industrial wet mops; pricing structures, minimum stop charges, and fuel surcharges; and quality-control procedures. This is a request for information for market research and planning only, not a solicitation or commitment to award a contract.
