Description
The Village of Port Jefferson is soliciting proposals from interested mobile food vendors to operate concessions at the East and West Beaches during the 2026 beach season. The selected vendor will be responsible for daily operations, including providing necessary personnel and ensuring compliance with all Health Department regulations. Hours of operation may vary, but will include weekday evenings and weekends from 10:00 a.m. to dusk, with potential for additional hours if scheduled activities occur. The concessionaire is expected to serve quality food and drinks, with no sale of alcoholic beverages permitted. All menu prices must be submitted for approval prior to sales. The operator will also be responsible for providing adequate waste and trash receptacles as approved by the Village. Proposals will be evaluated based on responsiveness to terms and conditions, overall qualifications, experience, and benefit to the Village. The Village intends to award the contract to a single proposer but reserves the right to award to multiple proposers at its discretion. All questions must be submitted in writing to the Village Clerk no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Sealed proposals must be received by Monday, June 22, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Village Hall.
