Description
Ventura Unified School District is soliciting proposals for leased lit-fiber wide area network connections between its Buena High School collector site and 31 other district and educational sites. The requested connections generally require 10 Gbps service, with specified alternatives ranging from 1 Gbps to 20 Gbps at certain sites, and must provide the required demarcation handoff, physical and logical traffic separation, supported network protocols, full-duplex operation, and service-level objectives including 99.99% availability and packet delivery, 30 ms one-way latency, four-hour mean time to repair, and 24/7/365 monitoring. The contractor must provide all costs and services necessary to construct, install, configure, maintain, and monitor the network, including customer-premises equipment, special construction, conduit or trenching, cabling, terminations, route assessments, permits, testing, engineering, and project management where applicable. Proposals must separately identify eligible and ineligible costs, recurring and non-recurring charges, growth pricing, and any special-construction costs. Required response materials include a proposal narrative, pricing forms, detailed cost breakdown, qualifications form, references, service agreement and service-level agreement, implementation plan when applicable, general acknowledgment, and special-construction documentation when applicable. The requested initial term is three years with two optional one-year extensions, with service beginning July 1, 2027.
