Description
The USDA Forest Service, Southern Research Station, seeks a contractor for a one-time removal of hazardous chemical waste from a closing laboratory. The contractor must provide labor, trained personnel, packing materials, approved containers, equipment, labels, vehicles, and manifests; characterize, package, load, and stabilize waste as needed; and transport it to an authorized treatment or disposal facility. The listed waste streams include toxic, organic, flammable, oxidizing, arsenic, azide, sulfide, and other chemical wastes, with specified pail and drum quantities. Temperature-controlled handling, ether and azide stabilization, and incineration are required where applicable. The contractor must provide a final waste inventory, signed hazardous-waste and DOT transportation manifests, and written confirmation of treatment or disposal. Quotations must price every line item, and the award is anticipated to be a single firm-fixed-price contract. The apparent successful quoter must provide satisfactory evidence before award that it and its proposed subcontractors, transporters, and treatment/disposal facilities hold the required licenses, permits, registrations, training credentials, insurance, and other authorizations.
