Description
The City of Pasadena is soliciting a vendor to provide as-needed windshield replacement and repair services for approximately 1,100 fleet vehicles and equipment. The scope includes supplying compatible parts, repairing chips and cracks, replacing windshields and worn or damaged components, windshield tinting and removal, vehicle pickup and delivery, mobile repair when appropriate, and expedited emergency or priority service for public-safety and essential vehicles. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, tools, and materials; use trained and experienced technicians; perform minor and major repairs in accordance with industry standards; return equipment in safe and operable condition; and comply with applicable safety, hazardous-materials, and California vehicle-tinting requirements. The initial contract term is five years from City execution, with no optional extensions. Historical spending for this repair category has been under $20,000 annually, but the City makes no commitment to purchase a specific quantity. Bids will be evaluated on the lowest grand total price, and bidders must price all listed items and provide catalog pricing for additional materials and supplies.
