Description
Jackson County is seeking proposals to purchase a surplus parcel in Kansas City that includes three buildings at 1300 Cherry Street, 1305 Locust Street, and 1315 Locust Street. The property is offered “as is, where is,” with no warranties regarding its condition, suitability, or environmental status. Proposals should present a feasible redevelopment concept consistent with zoning and planning documents, anticipated community or economic benefits, compatibility with surrounding uses, and a site-preparation and redevelopment timeline. The proposal must include a letter of intent to purchase, redevelopment experience and references, evidence of financial capacity, a concept plan or narrative, and separate pricing. The solicitation also requires specified purchasing forms, a Certificate of Compliance, two dedicated email addresses, and proof of certifications, licensing, and insurance documentation. A Certificate of Insurance is required after award, not with the proposal. The County evaluates financial capability, redevelopment experience, concept quality and feasibility, community benefit, and the proposed schedule.
