Description
The City of Seattle is soliciting bids for federally funded pedestrian crossing safety improvements at eight intersections. The work includes sidewalk and pavement removal and restoration; pedestrian islands; curbs and curb ramps; drainage structures and pipes; clearing and grubbing; landscaping; RRFB and traffic signals; signing; channelization; traffic control; electrical installation; and rebar installation. The project also includes construction surveying, mobilization, traffic control personnel and devices, and related roadway and utility work. The engineer’s estimate is $3,250,000 to $3,350,000. The solicitation establishes a 13% Federal Small Business Enterprise goal, requires a bid guaranty of 5% of the maximum bid amount, and requires completion within 120 working days after the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must submit the required bid forms, bid guarantee, Bidder/Subcontractor List, Bidder Questionnaire for firms that submitted bids or quotes, and Recycled Materials Proposal.
