Description
The City seeks on-call electrical repair and replacement services at various city locations. Work includes indoor and outdoor electrical and wiring repairs; fire alarm system installation and certification; emergency generator support; utility locating; electrical-related wall patching and minor painting; support for arc-flash studies and photovoltaic installations; and exploratory work, tracing, and identifying electrical pathways. Labor, parts, and equipment rentals are included, with work ordered as needed. Repairs or replacements exceeding $100,000 are outside the agreement's scope. The contractor must provide 24-hour emergency availability and respond to emergency calls within two hours. The solicitation requires at least five years of relevant experience, three similar-client references from the past five years, and that work be self-performed by the contractor. The agreement has a 12-month initial period and two optional 12-month renewals. Bidders must submit pricing for all lines, the completed bid and surety form, the completed pricing workbook in its original Excel format, and the required MBE/WBE inclusion packet. Mandatory subcontracting goals are 5% MBE and 6% WBE; the contractor must perform at least 70% of the total work value with its own organization.
