Description
The City of Schenectady Department of Water and Wastewater seeks approximately 155,000 gallons of 15% liquid sodium hypochlorite for wastewater treatment during the January 1–December 31, 2027 contract period. Deliveries are to be made by dedicated tank truck in loads of 4,000–4,500 gallons, within two days after notification. The product must meet the stated concentration, quality, and applicable AWWA and ANSI/NSF standards; delivery slips must include specified quantity and solution measurements. Pricing must include transportation, delivery, and fuel surcharges, with no additional charges. Bidders must meet the stated chemical-manufacturing experience and facility qualifications and provide product data. The bid package requires a bid deposit of 5% and includes a bidder qualification statement, bidding sheet, noncollusion affidavit, sexual harassment prevention certification, and nonsegregated facilities certification. The solicitation also states insurance requirements and MWBE participation goals.
