Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service seeks a contractor to assess and rehabilitate the fire protection and domestic water systems at the San Luis National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. Work includes inspecting and documenting existing fire-system deficiencies; repairing or replacing fire sprinkler, fire pump, alarm, piping, valve, and related components; and testing and certifying the completed fire protection systems. Domestic water work includes replacing or modifying pump controls and equipment, addressing water quality and corrosion concerns, repairing leaks and valves, and replacing exterior hose bibs and related components. An optional scope covers replacement of restroom urinals, faucets, and flush valves, with associated plumbing and electrical work. The contractor must provide labor, materials, equipment, permits, testing, sampling, and required project coordination. Deliverables include an assessment report, project schedule, testing and water-sampling results, certifications, meeting records, operation and maintenance materials, and closeout documentation. Proposals are evaluated on technical capability and schedule, including relevant experience, and price. The solicitation requires a bid guarantee and payment and performance bonds; the solicitation states these bonds are due after award. The contract is firm-fixed-price, with work to be completed within 180 days after the Notice to Proceed.
