The City of Zebulon is soliciting one contract for the supply and installation of approximately 841 replacement water meters ranging from 3/4 inch to 6 inches, including all installation labor, materials, and related appurtenances. The scope also includes an advanced metering infrastructure system to manage and collect live metering data, along with system installation, training, billing software integration, and related appurtenances. The prime contractor must be the proposed meter manufacturer or the manufacturer’s designated meter supplier/vendor for the territory. Installation may be performed by the manufacturer, its supplier, or a qualified installation subcontractor. A bid bond or certified cashier’s check of at least 5% is required, and the successful contractor must provide 100% performance and payment bonds. The expected contract time is 180 consecutive calendar days.
